These instruments structurally have intonation problems. E2 and F2 are rather too sharp. This is caused by faults in the bore profile. There are several ways to tackle this problem. In this instrument an adaptation of the profile of the neck was choosen. A change to the profile of the upper bow is nonetheless indispensable.

The entrance of the neck was widened over a couple of centimeters.

These instruments lack the key for alternative F#.

An extra tonehole ring, a hinge and a spring seat were soldered on to the body..

...in the upper end a tone hole or two could be added as well...
